Default different sized batbacks?

correct me if im wrong. i ahve a 99 dc4 but heard of some things that certain year gs-r's have shorter exhaust pipes i beelive 94-99? does that mean any other model 00-01 gsr, 94+ rs,ls,gs and 97+ type-r exhausts will fit my 99 dc4?

Yeah you are right about the different size exhausts but it all depends on what motor in the car. The header on the OBD1 motor is shorter than that on the OBD2 motor. Case in point, i have an ITR B-pipe that came off a 2001 type-R on my car that i had to have extended b/c it was too short. It came off an OBD2 motor. If you want something to fit off of a 94-97 car then you will have to get it shortened. It will be too long b/c of the motor you have in your car. But anything from 98-01 should bolt right on.

so since i ahve a 99 dc4 i can buy a 94-99 gsr S2 catback and just have it shortened to ahve it fitted on?
