I was going to say the same thing too. Maybe from 94-97. But GSR's from 98+ all have leather.

Was it a theft recovery and they just put cloth in? Swap of some sort?

yup that is right... Leather wasn't put on the GSR until '99. The '98 GSR came with cloth seats but you could have leather as an option. I was going to buy a Super Sonic Blue GSR when they first debut in '98. But couldn't get my finances together to get one. That one came with black cloth bolsters and a blue style design on the center of the seats. That cloth seat was only made for '98. I bought my '99 GSR the following year and they added black leather seats standard that year.

'92-'93 GS-R's = Black/charchol cloth with red and blue striping.
Leather NOT even an option.
And to the guy with the RS ???'s.
You got your answers above.
RS and LS power options depended on year.
Initially thr RS was a stripped model, without power anything.
But as time went on hoda added more and more options.
The same with LS but it started with more to begin with.
Thats why near the end they dropped the RS and GS?

Does your car have ABS? Is all this just to determine if you have an RS or LS?

Yeah thats all I want to know if its an RS or LS. I think it has ABS because the breaks are really sensitive. Would it say anywhere if I did?

ABS doesn't affect the sensitivity of your breaks.. it just pulsates your breaks under hard breaking conditions and when it senses that your tires are losing traction. you can find out if you have ABS if you pop the hood and look on the passenger side, right behind the headlights, there should be the ABS control module.

To see if you have ABS just look at the idiot lights on the dash when you turn the ignition switch to 1st position.. If the yellow ABS light, lights up you have ABS.
And I could be wrong, but I don't think RS's ever came with ABS.

I know this is not very relevent to the topic, but a couple months back i was at this import meet in another city. i live in hampton roads, and my city is pretty close to others so i just ride to hampton to look at cars on sat and fri nights. i was with a friend of mine and this was before i bought the 00 ls tegra that i have now. anyways, we were walking around and this dude had a tegra which was yellow and had a type R emplemb on the back u know under the rear light. so i was like cool, i've never seen an ITR in person, only on ebay. so he was like yeah this is a 01 ITR. this was back then when i didnt know much about them integras and stuff.
had that red valve cover with DOHC v-tec sign on it and red bride seats and looked like a real type R. but looking back on it now, it was an automatic transmission. meaning was it a real type R integra or what? i am been puzzling about this for a long time now.

My 00 Ls came with pw sunroof, windowz, locks, 5pd curtesy lights etc, front upper strut bar from tenzo R, which i am trying to find the same for the back.
do tegras have inside hatchback release button? or is that an option?

They stopped the inside hatchback release button after the '98 model... The hatchback now has its own "DOOR HANDLE" which is the latch. So no more inside release for the hatch. I was wondering though, why would you want that? Secondly a automatic Type R... Never was made and will never be put into production. But there is a way to convert your DOHC VTEC Integra into an Automatic by using a B Series automatic tranny, and getting the rest of the setup for it. The stupid thing about that is using an automatic ECU which none of them I know of has the vtec setup in it. So it would work but you will never get the full potential of the motor. DOHC VTEC TYPE R AUTOMATIC <----- If anyone truly tries this setup is a total *#&$*#@....

Just to clarify this though.
There were Automatic Type R's in Japan.
And if you can believe it, there were even automatic 4 door Type R's in JDM land.
I have the JDM brochures to prove it

Damn Automatic TYPE R in Japan.... Only the JDM Peeps would do that. The four door type r's I knew of.... But I never knew they would throw in the automatic part...

Doesn't the SE integras have gold emblems too? with the Special Edition badge in place of the DOHC VTEC badge.

I think the gold emblem is an option... The SE is like GSR replica but with the DOHC Vtec...

someone just said it became standard and 99 and up gsrs. anything before that it was just an option.

if you want an easier way of finding out what it is, do a carfax, that should say it, right?
There are people all across the forums that have unlimited carfax reports and im sure one of them would run it real quick for you.

How do other countries integras look that are non type R with a 98-01 USDM front?
So how would a UK GSR look or UK integra, except type R- Any pics
