difference in ECUs

how do you tell the difference between a USDM and a JDM, OBD1, GSR, ECU just by looking at it? does anyone know??

you look at the numbers on the side, the bar code looking thing, i beleive the jdm OBD1 gsr ecu is P72, but i may be wrong

check out the hondata website..
tells you details.
also; P72 = GSR; both OBD I and II

also beware of OBD 2.1 vs. 2.2 (newer GSR < yr 2000)

i know its a P72 and it is an OBDI, the only thing i do not know is wether or not its JDM or USDM. How can i tell that? Thanks for the info.

You can tell origin of the ECU by the bar code #'s AFTER the ecu code.
This also tells you which software that particular ecu is using.
