Default ECU help, p72 identification

I have a gsr ecu with most of the bar code faded. what i can read is xxxxx-p72-003.

Is there any way i can tell if its a japanese ecu or american? i know if it was say a p72-a03 it would be american and if its a p72-j03 it would be Japanese, but mine has 0's. the only way i can think of is find out where vtec kicks in. any help?

the jdm computer should be about a perfect square and the usdm should be rectangular.
