Default diff questions

i was wondering if i weld my open diff will it totally take out my ability to drive it daily. if not how bad will it be driving every day with it like this. i heard this is a cheap way of getting great traction without spending an *** load of money. thanks a lot. it is an ls tranny and ls eng. boosted w/about 380 hp on low boost. didnt know if u needed that info. just threw it in there thanks again.

If you weld the spider gears it will be dificult to drive at slow speeds while turning. EX. parking lots etc.... IT will be more of a pain in the *** but if you are willing to deal with it then... If you do weld the spider gears make sure that you weld not only the gears together but the gears to the outer casing of the diff, otherwise you may run the risk of breaking the weld.

this trick woks better with RWD cars..
so go ahead if you feel like dealing with the headaches.
