what are these parts and are tehy what im thinking they are?

1)change extension rod - is that the upper bar of the shift linkage?
2)throttle cable- what is this? what does it do is this the thin metal wire?
3)clutch hose- is this the cable that connects the clutch to the tranny?
4)temperature control cable- is this the wire that we move left and right for hot/cold?
5)acutator cable- what is this?

Not sure on this one.
2)throttle cable- what is this? what does it do is this the thin metal wire?
This is the cable that goes from your gas pedal to the throttle body and opens the butterfly.
3)clutch hose- is this the cable that connects the clutch to the tranny?
Never heard of this one.
4)temperature control cable- is this the wire that we move left and right for hot/cold?
You got it.
5)acutator cable- what is this?
Huh?

Hope this helps.

on an automatic transmission? If I am thinking about what you are thinking I call it a kick-down-rod, when you mash the throttle, it kicks the tranny down into a lower gear. but this was for non-computer controlled transmissions with carburated engines.

2)throttle cable- what is this? what does it do is this the thin metal wire?
it goes from the gas pedal to the throttle body and works a butterfly valve in your throttle body that opens or closes to allow more air or less.

3)clutch hose- is this the cable that connects the clutch to the tranny?
if you have a hydraulic clutch linkage (rather than a clutch cable) I could see it being called this, never heard it called such..

4)temperature control cable- is this the wire that we move left and right for hot/cold?
yep, actually it is attached to a nifty easy to understand blue/red thing on our console that a monkey could understand (strange that they engineer our cars for monkeys to drive).

5)acutator cable- what is this?
there are hundreds of actuators on our cars, never have heard of this.

hope this helps a little.
