Dc2 H22 Vtec problem help!!!
Hey guys *first time posting tried the search couldnt find anything on topic*
I just swaped an H22 to my Dc2. The H came from my X Lude I had. My H was
working fine I would hit vtec just a bit sometimes in the brake in period. *you know you cant resist not to
* It was working fine until one day at about 6700RPM on 3rd gear I felt a lil bog. thinking it was because it wasnt the time to be reving that high I ignored it. It worked fine for a while after that then one day I was going to the local runs *planing to find some unsuspecting hatchbacks
* My Dc started to bog out every time I hit Vtec.
PROBLEM:
Vtec works well when its just warm enough to pop tec. after it gets to normal tempeture it starts to bog out only on 2nd and 3rd, 1st works fine. Then it shuts off
and vtec doesnt pop the rest of the way, but it will work fine in first gear again.
THINGS I'VE REPLACED:
did my oil change *royal purple and mobil 1 filter.
replaced temp sensors, AIT sensor, fuel filter, rebuild distributor, wires cap rotor plugs, wired up vtec direct to computer, changed ecu's p28 jun p72 jun , vtec press switch and solenoid, hooked up O2 from my old gsr *dont know if its works with H22 it stills troughs CEL 1.
****most parts were donated by my buddies *one has a blown H due to nitrous***
OUTCOME:
the problem minimized but it is still there.
if anyone could help I would deaply apreciate it i've tried about everything and im running out of patience for this!
***note motor was working fine on my prelude before****
even with the O2 disconected and CEL 1.
THINGS IN LEFT TO DO LIST:
reset timing, fuel press regulator, check for leaks in intake manifold gasket.
*****thats all i have left to do im taking it to a tuner shop after unless someone
could help me solve this and save me some cash
