Default dc vs. comptech

alright i am in the process of purchasing a header....now its b/t the dc sports jdm (2.5 inch collector) or the TIG comptech.....now i have a 97 gsr and i would be running this header to a greddy evo 2 and a carsound cat..( dont them yet either)...but i would liek to know which one u would choose and y u think its better over the other one...which has more power output...etc.......now my car is pretty low which would mean i mite scrape alot with the 4-1 jdm.....but all opinions welcome...thanx

My vote is for Comptech. But then again, I'm a Comptech *****. They're pricey but I've yet to find anything better.

FYI, I'm running DC headers now but they will soon be replaced by the Comptech.

If you are tight on cash or have a budget in mind then the JDM 4-1 is your best deal, but if you want some higher quality, better engineered part, then expect to put up some more cash for the Comptech. I would choose Comptech over DC anyday.

Can't go wrong with either.

The DC will be better suited for future mods.

You really can't go wrong with either...the B18C will take as much flow as you can give to it.

now im tryin to decide which to buy right now...dont have a whole lot of money, and am looking at a 4:2:1 header because i need more low-mid than mid-high power right now...do yall know of anybody on here that could give me a good deal, or should i just wait for one to come up in either a groupbuy or in classifieds?

EDIT: **** i dont even know if they make a comptech for a g2..never heard from any1 whose had one...i guess DC it is?

I've heard that the comptech header works better with a comptech exhaust or the stock one.

The JDM DC 4-1 will outflow the Comptech, but the Comptech is of much higher quality than the JDM DC 4-1. You also have to consider other issues like ground clearance: The JDM DC has terrible ground clearance compared to most headers. The Comptech is a more "well rounded" header, while the JDM DC forgoes the well roundedness in favor of power.
