What you can do is drill holes in your headlight assembly and insert small wedge bulbs into the housing which will give that glowing effect that you want.

that wouldn't be functional in the daytime. 5W wedge bulbs in the high beam housing would barely be visible.

, thanks

I personally dont like the Day time Running lights... I think it would look better if the corner amber lights were always on instead. .... actually, this reminds me of another question. Is it possible to have the corner/ambers on at full brightness all the time? You know how you signal, it blinks and the blink is brigher than normal. I want that brightness on all the time.

And when signaling, it would blink "on, off, on off", as opposed to "bright, not-bright, bright, not-bright". Does that make sense?

That looks really nice.. Now if it were black.. J/K..

So about the DRL's.. What happens when you turn on your Low Beams?? Do the DRL's stay lit??

Because according to the wiring diagram, it seems as if it does stay lit.. And it also seems like by turning on the High Beams, it cancels out the DRL's..

So to do something like that on our cars, it seems as if all we have to do is throw in a Relay and have it send full power to a Resistor block/pack and then jump it to the High Beams.. If it were only that easy..

I think I'll have to try that one of these days..

He wanted the "glowing effect" not the functionability. If your looking for the the function then wire up the high beem to work when your lights are off.

DRL's are the low beams, which just use less current and are not full brightness, more of a yellow/orange color. When you turn on the low beams on full, the turn signal, low beam bulbs come on full and your dash lights up.

No, actually the DRL's are the highbeams at a reduced power (see the pic in the thread).

First notch on your light switch enables your parking lights. DRL's remain on. High beam indicator is lightly lit (reminds ppl that their headlights are not on, but instead DRL's are being used.. a common mistake)

2nd notch on your light switch turns on your low beams, DRL's turn off. High beam indicator off until actually used.
