Dash Change...Cluster Help
"i searched before you say it"ok i changed my tan dash to black, switched the harness from the old dash to new and when i installed everything back in the car, my cluster wouldnt light up nor the climate control.ok, found a plug under the dash i missed and plugged it in and its been fine since,.now for the real question.i did the same dash change to my girlfriends car and her cluster/climate control wont illuminate. looked for the plug to be the prob,(as it was mine) and as far as i can see, they are all in tact and plugged in....any ideas,....oh and the fuse is fine and tail lamps illuminate also.any hep i' really appreciate..really a dagram or w/e of the plugs behind the fuse box would help. its a 1997 GS Integra. Thanks
maybe a bad wire. something crossing. make sure the wires arnt all old looking and beat to hell. ive had cross wires and that crap sucks. noone like to play with electronics, just the engine work for me. good luck man
thanks man, but u used the factory harness and no exposed wires so i dont think thats what i've run into...anyone else with an idea?
as I understand it you are using the original cluster, climate, etc., and swapping in a new dash and harness? if it worked before and it doesn't now, it's quite obviously a problem with the wiring. remember, you never know what stupid **** previous owners have done
blueintegraboy...if that fixeds it i will be greatly in debt to you man, its really worried me and i really dont remember pluging that back up....im excited now, haha, the wiring wouldnt make sense cause everything works...just no illumination....thanks guys....good stuff i'll let you know if that fixes it
