the other day my tps sensor cracked. idk how. so anyways i pulled the throttlebody off. and go to the junkyard to get a new one. after i install the new one my car idles around 2.5 cold and keeps climbing all the way to around 4k slowly. any things i should try to bring a high idle down?

I am kinda having the same problem with my dc2 but when I start the car it idles super low and when I go to give it a little gas it revs to about 2000 rpms and the it falls on its face Ans bogs down....I can't figure it out either maybe a bad tps

 

sounds like a bad IACV my civic did that. check and replace if necessary.

 

The first thing to do is confirm there's no vacuum leak. Once you do that, you need to check the tps voltages and see if they're within spec.
