Default custom test pipe

i was wondering how long the catalytic converter on a stock 2000 gsr, so i can get my friend to make me one

alright...this is what you do...

remove the cat
messure the length of the cat
cut each end off
cut a pipe to the messurment of the cat (minus the ends)
weld those ends to a pipe
re-install and your done...

easy enough, right? good luck

^that's what i was going to do except leave the piping around it and take all the ceramic out and run the pipe through it. that way it still looks like a cat.

why would you still want it to still look like a cat...your not going to pass smog with any test pipe so theres no point in making it look like it... if i were you i would keep it just in case you ever need it... thats just me though.

no, i was going to snag an old cat off an integra in the junkyard and do it to that one. i will be keeping the stock cat for emissions purposes.

if you have an OBD2 car it will foul out your secondary o2 sensor pretty quick

they also turn a nice sounding exhaust into a loud *** popping fart can

yeah i kno about the secondary o2 sensor, im makinga custom one so that it doesnt foul.

anything u can do so it doesnt sound like crap, i have a rs-r exmag

this isnt true...well at least half of it...

ive got a test pipe on my car and its still sounds good...

well, i dont know if its everywhere or if its just where im from, but they dont sell cats at junk yards... if they do where you are then your a lucky man...
