A friend of mine is gonna have to rebuild his motor and I plan on doing the same thing when I rebuild my LS and go LS/VTEC. We want to run the highest compression factory honda piston that we can run in our motor. Now as far as i know, that would be the CTR and ITR pistons. I have always been under the impression that the CTR pistons were a higher comp ratio than the ITR's. . . But recently i read a couple webpages that showed the ITR's as being higher. It read that the ITR's were 11.1 and the CTR's were 10.8 Any opinions on this or hard facts would be great.

ok. .was the 10.8 the B16A2 and the 12:1 is the B16B??? or were the webpages just on crack?

 

according to TOVA the C/rs are

B16A - 10:4
B16B - 10:8
B18C - 10:6
B18C(R) - 11:1

 

If you use the CTR pistons on the B18B block and a GSR head, you will get somewhere around 11.6:1.

 

CTR Pistons in ITR B18C5 = 12.x:1 cr
JDM ITR Pistons in ITR B18C5 = 11.1:1 cr
CTR Pistons in CTR B18B = 10.8:1 cr

 

what kinda of numbers could i expect from CTR pistons in a LS block with a B16A head. . and CTR pistons in a GSR block/GSR Head???
