then when im driving in the city (stop n go) the temp gauge is in the middle reading regular , the car doesnt over heat but only when im on the highway the temp gauge starts going down to LOW saying my car is running super cool .....why is this?

-i rather it be on low then hot

Hi, well Im not sure you want it low either. Your gas mileage will suffer if it doesnt reach proper operating temp. Chances are your thermostat is stuck/malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. I noticed my last car would sit where it should, and would cool down under hard acceleration. I swapped the t-stat and it was fine. Good luck
