Default Coolant leak problem

Ok, I was running water in my radiator, because I had a massive leak, so I kept adding water, and pretty soon, there was no coolant, just water. Well, I've been running that for about two months after I fixed the leak. (bought a Full-Race radiator). Well, its started to get a little cold here in South Carolina. Hasn't gone below freezing yet, but close. So I figured it was time to change back over to antifreeze before it freezes, and I expletive my engine up. Well, I changed it, and now it leaks all the sudden. It looks like it is leaking from the timing belt side of the block. It's dripping from in between the crank pulley, and the block. I can't see any hoses leaking, so I'm guessing its either the waterpump, or a cracked block. Has anyone had there waterpump just start leaking out of nowhere. Cause it went from holding coolant, to leaking about a gallon every couple of days. Do you all think the sudden coolant change from water to antifreeze had anything to do with it??

sounds like a bad waterpump. the waterpump has what is referred to as a "weep hole". it's basically a indicator of when the water pump has to be changed. when it starts seeping, water pump need to be changed.

I had the same problem...mine was at 94K and it just started. I swapped the water pump and timing belt and everything is ok now.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The waterpump is the original, the engine has around 140,000 miles on it (know way to know for sure, cause it was a swap, and judging by the clutch, had somewhere around 80,000 miles on it). Never changed the waterpump. I have changed the timing belt and tensioner somewhere around 90,000 miles, so I'm gonna go ahead and replace that as well, while I've got it torn apart.
