alright, well after my neighborhood, there is a straight stretch and the speed limit is 60mph. at the light before the stretch there was an integra behind me. I got on it and he did to, we went down the strip not going over 70mph. we stopped at the light after the stretch. I have a 2000 gsr, 100% stock and i asked what he had under the hood. and if it was a gsr. he said i/h/e and cams, and it was an ls.... and he kept up with me no problem at all. even being able to pass me..... is this right? would i/h/e and cams give him that much?? anything helps, just conpuzzled....

 

racing doesn't rely on sheer power, but on driver abilities as well, and what gear you are in, if he started way before you or not... freeway pulls are really best when you both start at the same speed, and at the same time...

 

true, i was just suprised by how well he kept up and how much power his ls seemed to have.

 

if your telling us, you lost bad enough to an ls he even passed you, all i can say is trade in your car and buy a gun and a bullet.

Not to mention that the curb weights are different between those two cars. Also the amoung of fuel you had. 6.9lbs per gallon I think. Meh...there are many variables as to why you lost. Though weight is a decent factor.

 

stock gizzers arent anything that special. ls/rs arent special either. both the gsr and ls have same torque#a of 128/129 lbs. hp is the only difference but you add weight in there and the ball game changes.
you with a full tank and him nearly empty .
thats a 50+lb difference correct me if im wrong.
maybe some 404 cams in his car tuned on crome with an upgraded furl system for whoever knows what the hell for and i/h/e that consists of a rage header omni testpide and bcIII exhaust system.

heh could have lied. alot of people do yo don't really no what he has done. I was gonna debadge my car so it doesn't get stolen. People will think i'm an ls. but i'm not.

don't worry about it. If ur worrying then make ur car faster

1. ls have a inside 3rd brake light. no on the wing like gsrs
2.gsrs are equipped with a stock upper strut tower. ls are not
3.rims but if aftermarket or changed cant really tell
4.cluster
5.trim, gsrs have the tweeter pod on the door i believe. not sure on tis one.
