how good is your electronic skills? if you have access to a voltmeter and wiring diagram, your first task should be checking for proper reference voltages at the ecm pinouts.

There is a good chance jumping the car (improperly) fried the ecm.

It is happening just because of the malfunctioning of the ECU.

check and clean your grounds wires in the engine bay--a good place to start is to see if the negative battery terminal has continuity with the other grounds to the tranny case and the chassis near the radiator. check fuses under dash and under hood.

i found a junkyard computer for $70 online. PM me for the site.

Does the CEL illuminate when you start the car (bulb check)?
How did you run the wires for the VTEC solenoid?

check engine light is off when i start the car after driving a bit it will pop on. shut the car off then turn it back on and its gone until i drive for a while again. and vtec doesnt pop often and when it does it hits at a random rpm like 7100 or somthing retarded

the vtec and everything worked fine until the battery took a ****. and when my mom helped me jump it i herd a arc and didnt think much of it but now the car wont cross over and acts wierd. and it rejects the scanners for the check engine light.

its a 96 ls integra

has a 96 spec type r swap

has a hasport jumper harness for the vtec

and a jdm type r computer

did you check your grounds for continuity using a multimeter? my car would blow a fuse and throw CEL when the auto tranny tried to shift up while in D4. it was a bad ground to the battery.
