most of the "chips" you're going to find on the internet are simply garbage. The only real way to "chip" your car is to:

1. Buy a chipped OBD1 ECU (or chip your current one)
2. Have a qualified tuner build a basemap on the ECU
3. Either street tune or better yet, dyno tune your car.

Anything that offers you instant power through a "chip" is pure junk

using this chip you can tune on chrome or whatever and isnt garbae you can set up a 2 stage launch and cel shift light and the tuner sets up your chip according to your engine mods have some experience from phearble.net before you talk crap on it, i can tell you have no experience using phearables chips or ecu's

I hope you weren't referring to me with this post. In order to clear up this possible confusion, i posted my response before your post even showed up; therefore, nothing i said has any reference to you.

I HAVE purchased a few ECUs from J-K Tuning and Xenocron...not Phearable as far as i can remember.

There are a lot of features on a chipped ECU that are fun to play around with. On my J-K Tuning chipped P28, i have Crome setup with a 2 step. Its pretty cool...When you're looking at getting one of these ECUs, you can tell Xenocron, B18bTurbo (J-K tuning), or Phearable what your setup is and they'll tailor a basemap to your setup so you dont need a dyno session...they'll help you out big time

so when you order from phearable or one of those similar guys. You dont need to fine tune your car? OR is it good to go with the program they give?

If you have a car with simple bolt-ons, you wont need to unless you want to maximize your car's potential with your setup. If you're boosted and buy an ECU with a basemap, i would suggest getting a tune although i drove on a basemap for 2 months last summer with no problems. I did leave a fail-safe in my car though...i didnt gap the plugs so when it hit boost, it would misfire and no longer rev any higher. It was fine for daily, but wouldn't work well WOT
