Default Comptech vs. ITR

Is the Comptech bar really worth the money over the ITR bar? I'm finally to the point of getting a rear sway bar, so I was wondering what would be more beneficial. I'm gonna use the car for daily/auto x.

Comptech is overpriced. The ITR sway is a great mod when compared to the Comptech and the price is a steal. This is all hearsay; I went straight for the ITR.

I have an ITR rear sway and think its one the best values out there. I don't have a Comptech bar so I can't comment.

EDIT: I thought he was talking about the ITR strut bar

I'm not really worried about the money. But I'm not gonna buy a knock off. I just wanted to know if the Comptech bar is really that good since it's adjustable.

I have the comptech bar and I think it works great, I haven't had any real first hand experience with the ITR sway bar but if you're going to go with ITR, I'd get the 23mm JDM one, at least this way, you have that extra 1 mm, I heard it's a world's of a difference.

I have the ITR bar now for over two years and love it.
You get more style points with the comptech bar if that is important to you.
Also, get the Beaks kit.

What do yo mean by style points? Like the bling of Comptech?

And why the Beaks kit over BSQ?

Not really "bling", if I can buy it for the same price, I will go with comptech to complement all my other comptech parts.

I had BSQ kit, it was ok and had no trouble with it but I was not very confident with the two washers (maybe I am just paranoid). The beaks kit, although more expensive, is sturdy and solid (front and back).

Is it really worth the extra money though for the adjustability?

Definitely not worth the extra $200-300. ITR bar and BSQ kit should put you back a little over $100. and FYI there have been no documented tearouts with the BSQ kit.

But the Comptech is adjustable. Is adjustability not that good?

That doesn't necessarily mean it's better.

I have the comptech sway/tie bar. To be honest with you, when I drove my friend's Teg with only the Type R bar and bsq kit, I can't tell the difference between us. I guess the only advantage I have is the fact that my bar is mounted on the tie bar which gives the added protection against tear out. Other than that you would really have to push your car very hard to see the noticable difference of the added tie bar I have over him. The reason I bought it in the first place instead of the type R bar is because I got it used from a member here for a very good price. IMO just stick with the regular type R bar and Beak or Bsq kit and save yourself the money. You can also see from the picture I have painted the tiebar flat black to reduce the bling factor.
