Default Comptech Intake question

I bought the Comptech Type R Icebox intake for my car (GSR with 64mm TB and Skunk2 Mani.)...do I still need to buy a tube to connect the filter to the TB? I only have the airbox, filter, etc but not tube! Hmm..

The Icebox and the Comptech intake are usually sold as 2 separate items.

Just use a stock intake arm. The gains from the Comptech SRI aren't worth the price tag. In my situation, I just upgraded from an OEM LS intake arm to an ITR one.

Just use the stock itr intake arm if you aren't already using it.

GSR arm fitment sucks w/ skunk manifold. LS arm is too skinny also. Try getting a generic LS/ITR 3in intake pipe and making it fit or get an ITR arm.

would gains be the same if you didnt use the comptech SRI? Would there be any loss if a stock itr arm and K&N filter was used with the the icebox instead of the comptech intake?

i tink the stock ITR intake arm would work better than the comptech arm. The stock ITR arm is tapered, i dont think the comptech is.

Don't waste your time on the Comptech short ram. The Icebox works fine without it and I doubt it will flow significantly better.
