Comptech Intake Install

I just got my comptech intake and installed it. in the instructions it did not say to remove the tube that goes down under the stock airbox. i didn't but shoud i have? any input would be great. thanks

remove all the parts that had to due with the stock airbox

yes, i removed every part of the stock intake/airbox assembly

just out of curiosity, do you know how much the icebox wieghed? i.e. the box and the cold air tube?

i dont have an exact number, but it was very light, no more than my aem cai

did not realize comptech made intakes. Are they better than the aem cai? More power or what , where can i purchase or check one out?

I know Comptech is tight, but why do you hate AEM?
