I did a compression test on my GSR motor today and was hoping to hit 260+ PSI across the board but surprisingly hit 200 in cyl# 1

Then when I did 2 and 3 it was like 100, and I'm like What on earth is going on here?????? i know my motor is running fine and strong, but could it be that I have a bad tester?

 

Throttle wide-open? Battery good condition?

Maybe your tester is leaking air. Is the O-ring not seating in the spark plug hole?

 

Well, I dunno, I bought the tester from pep boys. I did it myself though and left the tester dangling on my strut tower bar when I did it. I cranked the thing over like 7-8 times.

my engine runs fine and smoothly. When I drive it it feels much faster than stock...but hey maybe I'm doing the test wrong, or maybe I'm leaking somewhere on the tester ?? I gotta figure this thing out, if not I'm returning the tester.
