COMPRESSION TEST LOW!!! & SHIFTING PROBLEM!!!
HEllo everyone. I ned a couple of oponions and questions answers. I just went to the tune shop yesterday and I only pulled out 182 whp @ 6 psi. THere's def. suttin wrong. So we did a compression test and all 4 were low. IT was at 125-130 when i guess it is suppose to be 180-190. Im a bit pissed about this. ANyways..
When i shift gears at a high rpm quickly but not powershifting.. the car gets in to 2nd gear but then my rpm drops to like 4 1/2. Its madd weird. I just recently put in a ACT HDSS clutch but didn't replace hte pilot bearing.. COuld that be the cause? Also should I rebuild my pistons, rings, rods etc.. or just get an LS block and make it LS VTEC? Any recommendations and explanations will help. THanks.

what kind of pistons are you using?? if for some reason you boost spiked you may have damaged the ringlands.. you will need to pull the pistons to see if this is damaged.. from above the motor they will appear fine..
ITs a stock motor... Does anyone know anything about this shifting problem? I am going to try to put up a video to show you guys what I mean.
NOpe. GSR tranny. I was talking to someone and i guess its my turbo bogging. Because for example.. im in first gear and i hit it to about 7500rpm and then shift fast to 2nd gear and as soon as i floor the gas pedal again.. it bogs and it wont go anywhere. THis is a better explanation. ANyone please help me!!....
with low compression and bogging on a shift, sounds like you just need to rebuild the motor and go from there. Those compression numbers suck ***.
