Default compression test

just did a compression test (95RS 115K)
here are the #'s
200,200,195,210

the manual says it shold be 199 so i'm pretty happy with the first 3 but the last one??? whats up with that
how much carbon build up do i have?
anyway u think i'm safe to go 5-7psi turbo?
is there anything i can do about the last cylinder to lower to 210?

cylinders 2 and 3 will always tend to be lower than 1 and 4 so thats normal. Try doing it again, but with a wot.

got a 98 gsr. all 4 cylinders read 210. I held pedal for same amount of time for each. however, i did use a bottle of STP complete fuel system treatment, but i don't think that makes a big difference. My suggestion would be for you to get somekind of fuel treatment formula, run synthetic oil & tranny fluid, use 93 octane gas, then run another compression check.

boost on!!!!

you want no more than 20psi between the highest and lowest numbers

mine are around 185-190 on a gsr engine with 8.5-1 compression pistons... so that's not that bad... stock mine was like 210roughly

i did do it with WOT
what does running higher fuel and synthetic fluids have to do with getting good compression test results???

you thing that i would be able to get rid of some of that build up with fuel system treatment?
