code6 ECT- why?

I don't think so. The computer reads the resistance of the sensor, and computes the engine temperature from there. With no coolant in the system, it would read high, but probably not cause a check engine light. If you overheated the engine, the sensor might have been destroyed, but I don't think not having coolant would cause the ECU to throw a code.

mine are blue and red, but your's might be different, since mine is Converted to OBD-1, and the CTS wires and plug are obd-0. I also have a DA, so if you have a DC, it might be different

thank man, this is really pissing me off. because i just wired up my v-tec and code65 now this pops up. damnit. btw i have no radiator fluid in teh car thats why im asking

Just fill it up with some anti-freeze and water 50/50 mix, or buy the premixed stuff, and reset your ECU, and see if it comes back on. If not, test the resistance of the CTS, and see if it is bad or not. Warm the engine up to normal operating temperature, and the resistance should be between 200-400 ohms. If it isn't within tolerance, replace the sensor.
