i need the code for my headunit...i just bought the car and i had to un hook my batterey and theres no manual or anything that i know of which would have the code...please help me! TIA!

 

mine was underneath the main ashtray on a little sticker. if that doesn't work i'm sure you could go to your local acura dealer and they will square you away.

 

did you recieve the owners manual with your purchase look for a card in there with the code written on it. Thats how I got mine

 

yeah see if that card is in your owners manual.. if not.. look in your glove box, under the ash tray or trunk lid.. sometimes theres a sticker w/ the code.. if not your going to have to have the dealer pull the code for you..

 

if nothing else, get the serial number off the head unit, and call acura dealership. they can look it up.

That is how I got mine working.

 

Heres a long shot......

Look under the hood in your "fuse box". I believe its on the passenger side near the battery. When i worked at our Acura dealer, all our techs wrote the code down and put it on the underside of the fuse box cover.

But if that fails, just call the Acura P's dept and let them give you the yada yada spill.

ditch the stock radio and just get an a/m headunit

 

ummm, I don't know what dealer you are going to, but you should report them to honda of america, they should look up the code at no charge for whoever owns the car.

 

yeah, someones getting ripped off if they want 75 bucks for a code. Maybe they want $75 to take it out and get the serial number off the bottom, either way they are still ripping you off because you can just lay on your back and read the serial number on the bottom of the radio.

 

do this and you will get the code, its the only way unless it is hidden somewhere in the car... Find out where the car was originaly purchased from, A acura dealership then tell them to search the vin.. You will have then found the code

 

Don't pay for it. This should be a free service. This code being lost is very common
