code 4...please look!!!
i have a DA with a 2000 gsr swap and lately it's been throwing a CEL code 4. i found out code 4 is:
Code 4 deals with Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction (P0335) or Crankshaft Position Sensor Range/Performance (P0336).
Possible causes for these two codes are shown as:
-Crankshaft position sensor
-Crankshaft position sensor circuit
-ECM
-Timing Belt skipped teeth
i really dont know where to start troubleshooting to fix my car. the CEL comes on and off after i restart my car after a few mins of warm up and seems like it happens on cold mornings. the previous owner had this CEL and said a new distributor would fix it and it did go away for a while but now it's back. any help would be helpful, thanks.

For starters reset the ECU to verify the problem. If the problem persists check for an open/short in the CKP sensor. You might have to measure resistance at the ECU 31 pin connector, terminal number 2. It should measure 0.5-1.0 ohms.
