well last night as i was in vtec through 1st and 2nd ..then after 3rd i slowed down..next thing you know check engine light comes on..i pull the code and its 22..which is the vtec switch one defected i believe..no its not the vafc vtm wire because i had that 6 months ago and it was resolved..now 6 months later it happens..i searched and i read it could be bc of low oil..but my oil is nice and high where it should be..so does that mean replace the switch?..and is the switch the green plug under the solenoid? thanks

 

clean the solenoid screen? I threw a code 22 also, but Im assuming its cause I dont have the VTM wire connected, btw sorry for stealing your thread but did u tap into the ECU line or re route?

 

anyone knows why after i reset ecu its been fine for 3 weeks now and now it has come back? how common is it that the pressure switch goes bad? it came back on last night as i was about to hit 5200 where vtec is set to engage at in 5th gear..and it pops on..

 

mine does this as well. I dont know what the hell is up.
