went up to the track tonight ran fine first run, second run while doing a burnout the cel came on and had no vtec going down the track, checked the code and its 22 which is vtec pressure valve, drove car home with the cel on and got home and reset the ecu and now its gone, does anyone kno what would cause this? thanks

 

in my civic it was my wiring to my ecu. bad connection and once in a while if i "smash" it would come on and id have to turn off my car then turn it back on to reset it.


but im not really sure on what could have caused it.

 

yeah thats what happened to me did u ever fix the wiring?

 

honestly i think its prolly a bad connection. check the ecu and look for a diagram and check for the vtec wire and see if the wire or pin is messed up? i dont know how to fix the problem... but it could be bad connection ??????????


honestly i dont know, i never fixd my wiring, when gas prices went up i stoped using vtec, it became rare that iw ould crack it so i never got that problem again then i traded my car for an integra because i was getting too many headaches with that car.

 

yeah i reset the computer and now its been off for 2 days now, it sucks going down the track with no vtec lol
