Clutch Problems
I have a whining noise in my engine everytime I push my clutch in, the problem just started occuring within the last month. Is it time for a new clutch?
Also, My gears grind into ONLY 3rd and 5th no matter what if the RPM's are above 4500... anything that can fix it without getting a new tranny?... or could it be related to the clutch?

could be your release bearings that is causing the noise. I had the same problem ....making loud squeeking noise everytime i release the clutch. A few weeks later my clutch springs blew on me due to reving it real hard. Ive heard that some people saying that its your flywheel that makes the noise becuase of the hot spots....but I never resurfaced my flywheel and just threw a cheap clutch with new bearings and now its not making that noise anymore......as far as your tranny goes, Im pretty sure your synchros are bad but just go buy some gm modified synchromesh tranny fluid at your local gm store and hopefully it will cure your grinds for the time being.....
