Default Cleaning red Honda valve cover

Hey, I'm new to this site...I'm just looking for tips on how to clean my red factory Honda valve cover. I don't want to lose any color, so if you have any tips, I'd appreciate your help.

a wet rag, possibly a mild detergent if needed.

carb cleaner shouldnt hurt if its that grimey.

There is some oil splatter here and there...nothing too bad.

iv used brake cleaner on past valve covers that oil has gotten on and that seemed to work pretty good and didnt take off color

cold engine and simple green. cover everything that shouldnt get wet, shoot with simple green and hose off after a minute. works wonders.

Same thing I was going to say. I use Simple Green to clean up my engine bay every once in a while and it makes my valve cover look brand new

Put some in a spray bottle and dilute it and any tougher areas get some elbow grease with an old toothbrush or scrub brush depending on the area.
