Well after having my Mant. REQ'D light come on, I called Acura of Bellvue to set an appointment to have her checked out. Anyway to make a long story short this is a four hour drive for me! They guy in the service department told me where to find the reset button. When you get into your car, feel under the dash around your right leg (from the driver's seat) you'll find a small button facing the front of the car. Turn the key to the on position, not starting the car, wait until 30 sec or so... then press and hold the reset button until the light goes out!! It's that easy... no more trips over to Acura to have some crazy push the button for me!! So anyhow, I'm not responsble for any damage some yahoo does to their car because they KEPT reseting the damn button. If there is a porblem get it checked out!!!

are you sure this is the check engine light you are talking about or the maintenance light? I've never heard of a reset button for the check engine light.

 

Aghhh your right... what the hell was I thinking.... sorry for the confusion... it's early on west coast...

I know you mean well in posting this information, but did you not try to find this info in the owner's manual before you make the long drives to the dealership?

This thread comes up every few weeks or so, it's getting to be really tiring just seeing the thread come up again and again and again, let along answering it. I think I will not bother anymore.
