Ok guys well today when i cranked my car on i got the ol check engine light...I just put on the password jdm whale ***** intake 3 days ago...My 1st thought was it was because of the new intake but i ran it for the past three days and no light came on then all of the sudden today it has came on. The car runs and feels great...Another thing that came into play was its starting to freeze and were having freezing nights would that do anything? Also my exhuast seems to blow out a bit more gray/white smoke...any thoughts?

 

get the light checked. im not sure what your meaning by its frezzing. what exatly is frezzing? and the white smoke is normal in cold weather. its just moisture

 

just saying the weather conditions just changed drastically to where its freezing every night....i looked up some more info and i found out that a lot of peoples check engine light comes on after a new intake and it just needs a few days to configure and it turns off..think the intake did it? should i see if it turns off?

 

my engine light also came on but the next time i started the engine the light was off.
Not sure what is going on.
Ill check for codes when it comes on again.

bump for help please!!! ....the more and more i research this im thinkings the light is going off becuase of the new intake i put on..i must be getting more oxygen or something...should i disconnet the negative battery wire? and reset it? or should i take it to a dealer?

 

the dealer will rip you off..lol...just reset it for now and see it still does it on a warm sunny day
