Was getting on a freeway on-ramp earlier today, decided to pop open some v-tec and as i reved through around 7k the check engine light came on. I checked the code when I got home and it was #22, which i just found out is "VTEC pressure valve". My engine has been burning alot of oil for a while and sometimes I don't get around to topping off the oil as soon as i probably should.... So I guess my question is, did the engine throw this code because I hit v-tec with low oil? Or is it something else I should be worried about. Can I just add oil and clear the code and forget about it?
