Changing from OBD1 to OBD2a
Hi guys i have got a OBD1 GSR and changing to OBD2a to use the ITR ECU.
The loom will still be OBD1 but will be using a conversion harness to OBD2a at the ECU end.
My question is do i still need to change the distributor to a OBD2?
I know there is a distributor plug difference.
Also will i have any problems use the boomslang coversion harness?
There is a knock sensor in the OBD2a ECU will this cause a problem?
Thanks peoples.

You'll be fine with the distributor since you're using the harness with the same OBD.
As far as the knock sensor, I don't know the answer to that one. I can only assume there shouldn't be a problem since GSR motors come with knock sensors. Unless the conversion harness isn't wired for it. Ask boomslang about it.
Just curious, why are you using an OBD2a ECU instead of an OBD1?
