changed oil
ok this is the first time i do it and i put in the oil and bolt and filter now i turned on my car it worked and then i was hearing a clicking noise and then it stopped then i checked my dipstick and it was barely on the first dot did i put little oil i put in 5 quarts
Wierd man... Double check the filter and the bolt for draining the oil. I was kinda worried about putting too much oil in as well. I put 4 quarts in my Dad's Integra but put 5 in my RSX... Hmmm
You have to give the oil time to get down into the pan befor checking the dipstick.
If 5 quarts read low, then you either have the wrong dipstick, an oversized pan, your car isn't on level ground, your misreading the dipstick, or you didn't give enough time for the oil to reach the pan.
Either way, 5 quarts is too much, unless you have a turbo your not telling us about or an oversized pan. Just curious as to why you would put that much in?

Because they had this genius idea of making those nifty 5quart containers now..
It might be a good idea, if they actually had a readout on the side of the thing.
Least that's how it is with the Castrol GTX chit.
