Chances ?
Quick question, I'm a little angry at the moment so I'll make this quick.
A month ago, my car died on me, I found the cause and it was the igniter coil that blew. I went and got a new one for 180 and a month down the line, the car died again, I check the igniter again, found out it BLEW again.
My question is... what contribute to the cause of it to be blown?
The car did drive for a month flawless and it just died on me.
All my power and ground are fine.
I just want answers, it's pretty much straight forward problem that i stated. Thanks

Explain how a short would cause this?
I mean I didn't add anything to the car nor did I change anything except tires and rims
We have our own ignition modules manufactured to exceed OEM specifications. In fact, OEM ignition modules tend to fail when exposed to temperatures greater than ± 250°F.
That's a statement from Dizzy King on Ebay..
So does that mean, Heat cause it to blew?
How hot does it get under the hood with a weather of 97 degrees and the car running ?
IF it's heat that cause this to blow, I'll be more angry on the quality that's used to make these such so call " OEM " igniter coils..

I doubt it's the heat that's causing it to blow. It would have to be some pretty ******* extreme heat to blow an ignition coil, and that would probably be one of the last things to blow.
I agree with the short. The ignition coil is an electronic piece of equipment, the only reason it would blow is if it's defective or shorted out.
It may be costly, but I would recommend getting whole new distributor, preferrably from the Honda dealer or second hand from a private party. This would rule out any chance of it blowing again.
