Default Central Locking Issue

Hello guys and gals,

I wonder if you can help. The central locking on my 96 Spec JDM Type R DC2, is acting up. When I use the key in the drivers door, it will only lock the drivers door, it should lock the passenger side too.

If I use the key in the drivers door to unlock the car, both doors will unlock. It seems to be an intermittent problem as sometimes it will lock both doors.

I've replaced the central locking ECU, with a good used one, and also replaced the passenger side actuator with a brand new OEM one. Still no dice.

Tom

I think that is how it is supposed to work, that is how my 95 LS locks work

unlock driver door with key, passenger stays locked

unlock pass side with key, drive door is also unlocked

Thanks. It used to lock both doors, so something is wrong. I think I'm going to source a used switch for the drivers side, as it's the only component I haven't replaced.
