well i swapped in a jdm obd2 b18c swap into my 99gsr. it has a p28 with a stock gsr map. few weeks ago i brought the rpm up to 7,500 and the CEL came on. no biggie restarted the ecu w/o checking the code. drove fine until last night. okay then last night i wanted to bring the rpm to 8,200 again at ~7.500rpm CEL came on. Can't go past 3,500rpm even it wanted to pass a car! this time i decided to check it. Code 16 for fuel injectors. it'll go away once i shut the motor off. after about 7-10 minutes of driving it comes back on. still wont let me go over 3,500rpm.

after some searching, could this be an ecu failure or the injectors themselves or somewhere in between the two components?

If it reads code 16 then there is a good chance it might be the fuel injectors.

 

im hoping its just that. was wondering if any one else had this same issue.

 

injectors tested okay.

found one of those black/yellow wires had a cut. i think the problem is solved now.
