Default cel shorted my interior light???

ok i went to check my cel and put the paperclip in and i think i blew a fuse in my interior lights??? normal or not? Also if in limp mode, doesn't your car not go over a certain rpm? i just got a cel and now vtec will not engage, hmmm....

Jumping the diagnostic connector with a paperclip will not affect the interior lights.

Limp mode limits the RPM.

the diagnostic conector is the harness in the green holder by the ecu correct? if so thats what i tried to jump and it sparked and my interior lights went out ha

same thing happened to me, i just replaced the fuse and all was well again.

ok well any ideas on what the problem could be, if i have no oil loss, but vtec isn't engaging??? maybe ideas on where to check first, i.e. solinoid, oil sending unit? thanks guys

wow i'm dumb, turns out there is a three wire plug and a two, ha dont use the three wire one, also it was 22 (vtec pressure switch) and the plug had just sliped off so i'm back poppin vtec now... thanks for all the help, clint
