Im getting a code 22 and that explains now why my car does not have vtec. The thing is we checked the vtec oil pressure switch and its fine, so as the vtec selenoid. We reseted the ecu and the code is still is gone but the vtec is still not there. Oil is fine too. I do not see how vtec wont go on because it used to work fine on my old head which i replaced last week.

 

my freind had the same code and wondered why...he changed his oil and it was all god for cheezy...ud be suprised how ugly oil can get...other than that i would check teh solinoid over again make sure its making contact with the pins

 

if u have a vafc see if u connected the vtm wire

also check to see if your oil pan is dented and check oil levels
