Default Is there an ELD sensor on obd2 Integras? CEL 20 (ELD) with obd1 p75 ecu

Usual symptoms of CEL 20: Fluctuating Idle, from 1000-3000 rpm, trying to maintain proper voltage.

96 Integra.
Swapped my ecu's: from obd2 p75 to an older obd1 p75.

Problem goes away when I put my obd2 p75 back in.

So I'm thinking there is no ELD sensor in obd2 integras?

Can some kind dood please confirm this?
How do I get around it?

(searched here, pgmfi, team-integra -- no luck)

Thanks

For '95, my Helm book says only USA Integras have an ELD. It's built into the main underhood fuse box.

I wonder why? I would have expected Canadian cars to be the same.

Canadian Integras have no ELD (my 97 doesn't have one either). Quick fix is to get the fuse box and ELD connector from a US Integra.

Right. No CDN Integras have an ELD.

Are you running a chipped ECU by any chance?

yes, running a chipped 95 p75 ecu, but not using the chip (j12 jumper is not on).
Using the stock ecu cpu.

Why do you ask?

Hey, hopefully this won't be a problem...
I just noticed in Uberdata that you can disable ELD.

PHEW!

Anyone try this with their favourite EMS?

I have an ELD code come up on my car with an Erik's racing ECU.. My theory is that since the programs were more than likely programmed in the states, the could possibly be looking for the ELD and throw a code because our cars don't have them. Just a theory.

I think your theory is correct. Disabled ELD with Uberdata, and the CEL 20 goes away. Presto!

A US car would have an ELD. So you just hook it up & use it... It's only for the non-US cars because it's probably difficult to find a USA fusebox with an ELD.
