i have an 01 gsr 4dr
i just ordered a apexi dunk exhaust for a 94-99 2dr integra gsr... im most likely gettin a jdm oem 4-1 header with 2.5' collector.. my question is should i get a carsound cat for a type-r since the header is from a type-r or for a gsr.. since the exhaust is a gsr.. keep in mind i need an o2 sensor for the obd2 thanks

try IPS Racing(see sig) or SMS Products, both will be able to supply you with a cat that will bolt up

 

yea..but should i get 1 for a gsr or a type-r cuz im getting type-r headers

 

since you have a 4 door gsr, and and a 2 door gsr cat back. i have no idea which cat will fit. best bet is just get a universal carsound and have a muffler place custom fit it.

 

Why would you want a 2'5 header??? That means your cat has to be at least 2'5, and your exhaust piping to be bigger than 2'5 as well. I could be wrong, but I didn't think 2'5 was the piping width for Dunk. Also, no need for 2'5 unless you are going turbo or supercharged. 2'25 would be plenty for avarge gsr.

 

jdm type-r header is 2.5.. so 2.5 cat. would flow better than a 2.25... where does the bung for the o2 sensor go before or after teh cat???

 

JDM typ-r has more power than a gsr, so it has bigger collector. Unless you want to make it into a power mill on wheels, 2'5 is not needed, besides, you are going to have to make all piping width bigger than 2'5 after the collector, otherwise, you would be corking the system

 

ok... all i wana know is which carsound cat to get.. a type-r or a gsr.. or a universal... u dont know my setup so dont say a jdm type-r has more or less power

my friend is selling his cat from his type r it was a 98 the car was stolen so hes selling all his stock parts the car is in good condtion and pm him if ur interested strtypr25
