I am thinking of buying an 93 Integra DA for 1,800 from a friend who owns a shop. But the problem is the title. Okay, the problem is first its a copy of a title, the previous owner has signed it, but we can't get a hold of the previous owner, and I was wondering if I had to get a mechanics title or something like that. The car has been with him for a year now. So I hope ya'll could help me out with this problem. Thanks.

 

whos name is the car under? if its under your friends name, he can get a title from the dmv and then sign it over to you. either that or there are papers at the dmv you can get that can sign over the car to you as long as it shows your friend is the title holder before hand
