I've see a well built LS motor rape a gs-r. I know a shop here in Charlotte that would build me a great motor for lround $1500, their motors have been proven strong and able to beat a gs-r staying all motor and very driveable. I've seen a built b16 in a Sol run to 10k all day.. I'd love it if my LS could do that!!

When it really comes down to it...driver skill is more important than the car. I've seen drivers take a POS out on an auto-x course and eat up guys driving WRX's and such. It can be done. I've taken a gs-r halfway though third gear in a straight line. I think I have really good reaction and am a good driver.

Um, Alex you were talking to me.. and you obviously had something to prove because that has nothing to do with this topic.

2000GSR -
LS 16.1
GSR 15.5
ITR 14.7

Difference between LS vs GSR, .6
Difference between GSR vs ITR, .8

An LS will NOT get raped badly unles it has a shitty driver... I hate all these arrogant GSR drivers that think VTEC makes or breaks a honda. Compare the area under the powerbands and see how the GSR does NOT make that much more power stock for stock. The GSR has shorter gearing which helps them have an advantage I love spanking GSRs with my bottle, they usually get so humbled because an LS beats them but I don't see why.. A GSR is no street monster, just a sportier LS!!! A GSR can be fast, an LS can be fast, an R can be fast - its common knowledge so lose the integra model prejudice please... Back to the stock for stock, with equal drivers a GSR would win but wouldn't "rape" the LS

Alright after some thinking and talking ... it seemed to me my friend was an idiot. he was telling me how a good driver in a ls could make up the diff off a gsr. is this total bullshit ?
THE original post bitch ..... UNLESS your a bad driver the gsr will win .. I mean how bad a driver are we talkin if that is the case then an LS can beat an NSX WTF...

A good driver won't make up for the 30 hp difference the gsr has over the ls not to mention the gsr's better gearing ..

I have owned both a GSR and LS raced them both modded , stock whatever I speak from experience..

THe LS Redlines in 2nd at 60 and the GSR redlines at 68mph after that the gsr willl move and keep movin

yes, that was the original post.. which had nothing to do with who would win if we raced

I don't feel like dissecting everything that is wrong with the above post, so I will leave it at this..

you compaired a LS beating a GSR, to a LS beating a NSX.. I think you need to get alittle more experience

Driving ability considered an LS can beat a GSR even though the GSR is a faster car. Before you look at the car, look at what is between the seat and steering wheel. The thread was already answered and over with, but for some reason people get all butt-hurt and defensive once someone says the GSR won't dominate all

The 403's with I/H/E should have owned you. You must be the better driver.

well a race through 1 and second is all driver skill and can be a toss up but 3rd right through the end the gsr WILL own the ls.

the gear ratios of the LS and GSR are same for 1st and 2nd. But once they hit third, the LS will fall behind. The gear Ratio is way too damn tall compared to the GSR.
I'd like to swap out my third gear for a GSR one if that is even possible.
uhhh...if i were you...i'd get either a b16 or b18c5 tranny.
