cams
ive heard somewhere that it is possible to just drop a set of gsr or type-r cams straight into a non-vtec and have it work? were they just telling me half the truth and it really requires more of a setup than just the cams or is this really true? and another question, what do you replace to raise the redline by a few thousand rpm? is it JUST the cams, valves, retainers and springs? or is there more? does raising the compression have much to do with it? can i run a toda spec-c cammed head on a stock LS block?
Everything you mentioned can help raise the redline...also you'll need the pistons for the higher compression. It wouldn't make no sense to just get cams.....that alone won't up the compression.
well first off quite talking to ricers!!! and no you can not put a vtec cam in a non vtec head ...and to raise the redline you need to have youre revlimity raised the springs and cams are there to help out in the higher rpms were stock equipment falls off..and when you say toda cammed head do you mean a vtec head with toda cams if so yes you can but theres more to than just bolting it on..and its called a lsvtec do a search you will find more than enough info...
