Default Cams

What would the best cams be for a 91 teg GS? I got CAI, Pullies, and Cam gears on it. I plan new pistons and exhaust in future.

i dont know what are the best cams, but my friends with the crower cams are loving it. vtec or non-vtec, crower has what you want..they have profiles that have the stock idle or aggressive ones if you want too....they claim 15+ HP and they can squeeze a lil more power tuned....look into it..-)

Seems like Crower has stock reference information on their site. Pop on over(crower.com). If you get the more aggressive cams, just do allot of research ahead of time. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO. The wild cams are not for everybody.

What would happen if I did get an extreme cam? Would the car not run, or would it just not be smooth?

idle will rev between 1000-2000 rpm's all the time...the idle is not smooth and it sounds like yer revving at someone all the time...go mild..!

So does the car jump between the RPM's with a extreme cam? I think I will get the stage2 crower.

The idle does not go to 1-2k. Where does this stuff come from? Cams do not determine idle speed, they can effect it however. My idle is fine with the 63403s and gears set to anything under +2.75, +2. As soon I get near 3 on the intake & -1 or +1 on the exhaust, the idle gets rough. Naturally this is where I like the powerband. It yeilds more midrange w/o sacrificing top end.

Naturally it's up to you. I'd get the 03s if I were you though.

What will a 403 setup cost with the absolute minimum of accessories, tuning, and labor? For a 95 Teg LS.

Well you need the cams, springs, retainers, gears, ECU &/or Vafc. Increased compression would be nice as well. Pretty standard list for the more aggressive cams methinks.

check them out, great G2 teg board.
as far as the cams go, might not be a good idea in an engine with 150k mi on it . mebe save for a swap. B16A or a B18C1
