camber, alignment?
alright guys, i have searched and searched and cant find a real answer. my integra is lowered on ground controls and has 17's with 205-40 tires. they are completely down to the threads on the insides of both left tires, front and rear. but the right side is fine. people have told me that i need to get front and back camber kits to fix this problem. i know my alignment is off because it pulls hard to the left all of the time. could alignment be the only problem or is the camber probably way off? also when i look at the wheels from the front, they look straight, not toed in...anyone else have trouble with this? thanks a lot for any responses
p.s. i posted this in wheel and tire but was hoping for a faster response from here

your car could be pulling to the left because the left tires are worn out like you said. chances are that if the inside of your tires are gone, you have negative camber and would need a camber kit to get this fixed, same if the outsides where worn out, that would be positive camber. if you get a camber kit and get your camber adjusted and get an alignment, your car will still pull to the left depending on how bald your left tires are. what you need to do is get yourself some new tires, front and rear camber kits, and an alignment and you'll be good.

You should be able to see how bad your camber is by looking at your tires and how they sit, if your alignment is off I would fix it, if the camber is bad enough either raise the car a little or install a camber kit and then align it.

with the correct alignment camber will have very little effect on tire wear. With this said I personally run a camber kit on the front. Unless you are slammed to the ground you should not need a camber kit for the rear. I had about a 2" rear drop with no kit in the back and the tires got old and cracked before they wore out.
this is true, toe will wear out tires faster than camber. Whwn you dropped your ride the camber, caster and toe changed. Dont worry about the caster, try to adjust the camber, but definately get the toe adjusted.
but if the camber was off, and the car was at the same height all around, shouldnt the tires on the right side wear also? plus when i look at the wheels, they dont look messed up at all, they look perfectly straight up and down

When you get a proper alignment they will check your Camber, Caster (even though you cant do much on most cars) and the Toe. Now since your car is lowered with rims, It would be a good idea to get a camber kit, to make your tires last longer. What specs your alignment sould be at depends on how you use your car. If its your daily driver you want 'stock like' specs, if this is your weekend warrior you want a more agressive alignment. And yes there is a difference in alignment depending on what kind of racing you do.
