So i had a set of Comp cams installed in my 00 GSR this weekend along with a new timing belt and water pump and of course the valve adjustment. When I got the car back the valves sounded louder than expected after an adjustment and he said that they were going to losen up again and to drop it off again this weekend for another adjustment. The car idle's kinda loud, but when i hit the vtec crossover at 4400 rpm's, they tap a bit more noticeable, is this just them losening because of the cams and i need the other adjustment he was telling me about. Overall the performance of the car is good, waiting on the header then off to get it tuned

 

I noticed an increase in valve noise when I switched from my GSR to CTR cams. I think it is normal because I have double checked the valve lash.

i'd say get it tuned after they re-check them. By changing the cams VTEC shouldn't be so low anymore. I'm planning on ordering some ctr's too.

Edit: i was looking at your myspace pictures, get yourself a Intake Manifold when you can, it'll be really nice with those cams
