cam install
For those of you who have installed cams on your Integra, how long was the installation time and the costs (if you had a shop do it for you)? I'm planning to get a ITR intake cam for my GSR and may bring it down to a buddy's shop to install it with his help or may let a reputable shop do it depending on what I find out. Thanks for any help in advance.
u might as well put the ITR exhaust one in since u got the valve cover off
and the cams exposed
as for cost and install time, dont know cuz my mechanic did for me and i wasnt there and he charged me a nominal fee

5 hours by myself working lazily including camgears and valve adjustment.
have a magnet-on-a-stick in case you drop the woodruff key from the cam end to camgear... don't ask
have a 10mm deep socket and a vice grips ready to do a valve adjustment, or weld one deep socket to a box wrench at a 40 degree angle (to clear the head).
later, HTH
ohh yeah costs? um, $9 for my own welded valve adj tool, $400 for ITR cams $200 for Skunk2 camgears, $7 hondabond for corners of valvecover.
and um, $24 for overtorqued cam-end holder bolts
again, please dont ask.
